Fire Walk With Me
If I learned anything watching Dangerous Animals on #shudder it's that there should be an Oscar for most convincingly dancing to a song nobody has ever heard in such a way that you truly believe it's one of that character's favorite songs.

I look forward to supporting this every year. Always a great cause and always a great shirt design.

My favorite storyline of all time. Absolute perfection!
Happy birthday to longtime Marvel editor Jim Salicrup: the man who had the wisdom to say, "Hey, we can't have Spidey dead in the ground in one book and alive fighting Doc Ock in another. Let's run the Kraven story through ALL the books for two months." Folks have been copying that model ever since.

The decision by DC to end discounted sales for digital versions of their books through Amazon is disappointing. It also seems at odds with their main competition Marvel which continues to offer weekly sales. When the price point becomes negligible between print and digital the choice is simple.

Also we're well past the days when supporting acts on a bill had cheaper merch than the headlining act. All t-shirts are $40.

I realize there are myriad reasons for the music industry to try to recoup profits any way they can but what I find most baffling is the cost of CDs returning to their plateau of nearly $20 a disc not too far from what they cost when first introduced.

I'm incredibly late to the party but I have to say Sepultura's Roots is an amazing album. Just a brutal onslaught from track 1.

I put this on my office door a few weeks ago. So glad I have a little slice of TP at work.

I miss David Lynch.

Apropos of his work my introduction to David Lynch was not in the most ideal manner. A close friend of mine showed me the last two episodes of the original run of Twin Peaks. Needless to say I was mesmerized and so began my obsession with not only TP but his entire filmography.

Words can't express what this man's work has meant and will continue to mean to me. I will continue to breathe in his works both visually and just as importantly sonically. He was truly one of a kind and will be sorely missed leaving a tremendous void in our world. Godspeed.

I've been keeping track of my runs for years, more like decades now, using whatever calendars I have available, mostly free ones that come in the mail. Here's the last month of 2024 with a total of 245 for the year.

Markley is producing incredible work and has to be considered one of the most prescient voices composing fiction today. His first novel Ohio is tremendous and the fraction of this magnum plus that I've read shows he's not a one trick pony.
