MAN DO YOU HAVE ANY FUCKEN IDEA HOW MUCH PETROL IT TAKES TO RUN A CAR

A CAR USES SO MUCH PETROL YOU NEED TO CONSTANTLY REFUEL IT AS YOU DRIVE

AND DIGGING UP OIL CREATES HUGE EMPTY VOIDS IN THE EARTH THAT FROGS FALL INTO. FUCKEN MILLIONS OF 'EM, JUST DYING IN THE OIL VOIDS WHERE THERE'S NO GRAVITY

Do you know if this is the natural decay rate for this type or if it's faster for some reason (e.g. venting something)? It's a lot higher than I would have guessed.

Ya, _used to_. Currently air quality is fucked up in public spaces by people who think their vape clouds are healthy and safe for everyone. Non-smokers don't want to inhale your strawberry flavored exhaust. 🥴

At least most smokers have the common courtesy to go out of the way to feed their addiction. Whereas vape users feel comfortable puffing "cotton" in public spaces. I'd rather smell a disgusting ciggie from a distance than inhale a lung full of someone else's equally disgusting vape cloud. 🚭

It's human days/years for the benefit of the audience the same way the protagonists usually speak English. OR can be understood from context to be a specific planets' day/night or yearly cycle.

Oh, this is on their Android search app. I have all the AI stuff turned off and was surprised there's no option to remove the button (yet).
December 23, 2025 at 7:26 PM
Ok, but why can't I remove the assistant button?

He is just telling you what you want to hear. This is the same pathetic opportunist that patted himself on the back for "crafting" worthless legislation banning the gestapo from wearing masks. He is also helping silence criticism of Israel's genocide. Pls replace.

No need to develop this because we already have access to a clean, powerful, safe, and maintenance-free fusion reactor. All we have to do is sit back and collect the energy 🌞😎
December 22, 2025 at 2:06 AM
Worst case scenario a bunch of our taxes get funneled into this and some industrial park in a low-regulation state burns down. But since fusion doesn't use any radioactive material it's probably not putting society in any real danger.

So I guess the only way to avoid (potentially inaccurate) AI summaries is to not pay for the premium version of the ACM Digital Library. Or for those of us who have institutional access, to log out of our accounts.

Actually seems like a decent strategy since you can still access all the papers!

they caved so their donors (e.g. tourism industry) don't lose too much money.

Isn't that Lisa Su on the left? She is pretty legit also, generally speaking.

I think it's due to a policy against linking to external websites.

Guards on the fuel shutoff didn't prevent the fuel being shut off to two good engines during climbout. That is a design flaw in the human-machine-interface and the flight protection logic of the 787. Switch movement is still under investigation so other flaws are likely involved also.
December 10, 2025 at 9:26 PM
No, not conclusive at all. Wiki cleverly states that the switch movement is still under investigation. Also, being able to turn off both engines with a single-action seems like a design flaw. One of many on that type 🙁
