I said around the time games just wouldn't stop coming out so unfinished it was an embarrassing miracle around fallout 76 that we were already in the middle of a new gaming crash...I did not expect EA, Activision, ubisoft, and to an extent Sony and Microsoft to eat it this hard this fast though

Just going to say this now before gta 6 comes out: grand theft auto is boring but now that we no longer have saints row as an alternative 'be gay do crime' version the crime game genre has to have a subgenre like cyberpunk (robot crime) or ass creed (crime against historians) to compete.

If i dont have to parry shit constantly in metroid prime 4 it will already be ahead of dread in my personal rankings. No I will not let this go, games for players without quick reflexes should exist and metroid used to be fine for that.

Its been quite a roller coaster begin as an edgy anti authority teen, into a young adult live and let live humanist, into a proper adult that realizes the only way to protect good people is to embrace your past edginess in order to hold the bigots that would harm them in clear and utter contempt.

At this point all these companies and politicians and other ghouls are doing a lot of fucking around and I suggest that a project we should all work on is making sure that they regret this era until their dying breath.

TMI alert on thisun but being an emotionally mature adult is all about being able to process your own bias and intrusive thoughts. For example. I had to realize being in denial and weirded out when I thought about dick was a sign I needed to process something rather then run away into shame.

Whatever my version of audhd is its the one where I game to reach flow state and provide novelty. Not specifically for challenge. Genres designed specifically for overcoming intense challenges 'souls like, fighting games' i can dip my toe in but I dont get their primary reward. I get free meltdowns!

The thing that really irks me about the halo 1 remake is that Halo 1 is a game with fantastic enemy balancing and AI, a fantastic weapon sandbox, solid mechanics, and a campaign that is too sparse and needs more levels and content. Excited for them to change everything I liked and nothing I didn't.

In any first or third person shooter I've personally never found any actual use for the whole sliding shot thing. Those kinds of sudden movements I really can't aim that consistently during unless you get Max Payne slowdown but it's sold like everyone should constantly scoot on their knees or butt.

I think an underappreciated cultural impact of white/male supremacy in writing is that the 'assumed audience' and the trope of the 'audience insert character' has given writers the false impression that they have to make their point of view character their least interesting character.

Being closeted trans makes the occasional gender affirming dream I get so hard to cope with. It's like getting a big old shot of how I want to feel and then being dumped on my head to process it after. Disorienting when I don't have many gender euphoria sources to farm.
