Been watching this train that has been killing Red Line performance the last two hours. They've recovered the train using a second and are pushing/pulling it to a rail yard.

Sort of reminds me of #WMATA from 2016

All lines currently running as expected on #WMATA this weekend, barring scheduled trackwork (NoMa station is closed). Some bus routes will likely have delays through DC due to the protests.

#WMATA has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to get more information from vendors about what it might take to design and implement a CBTC train signaling system.

The RFI is not about actually doing the install, just gathering information.

"environmental impacts" is not the primary need to clean up hydraulic fluid spills - the fluid, when on the top of rails, can cause trains to not be able to brake properly, which could be a significant safety hazard.

In this case, "door problem" is that the operator reported the train's doors were opened (whether manually or via automation) on the wrong side of the train. #WMATA
