No one told me you could just get a used Pixel and boot grapheneOS onto it. The security features I get from this OS are kind of nuts

Mutahar from SomeOrdinaryGamers on GrapheneOS:

- if it pisses off the government to the point where they're asking you to put in backdoors, and you tell them "to fuck off", and then you get labeled as the "criminal friendly phone", then you're probably doing something right

We now have experimental support for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Our initial 2025112500 release for these is available through our web installer or releases page on our staging site:

GrapheneOS remains available for users in France and there's nothing illegal about it. All of our services will still work in France. Our servers won't be hosted in France or with providers based in France (OVH) anymore. We already moved all the main ones used by the OS away.

A claim is being pushed that two newspapers are the reason we’re pulling operations out of France.

That is entirely wrong!

We would still be leaving regardless of whether the newspapers or the French media supported us.

More info below:

French law enforcement hijacked the servers of companies selling secure phones multiple times and is comparing us with those companies. They've made it clear they expect access to phones and will go after us if we do not cooperate. Cooperating with that means adding a backdoor.

One of the French news pieces referenced GrapheneOS as being available on "the dark web" and went all-in on "bad faith framing" it's complete bs, far beyond bad journalism.

There's no doubt in my mind that it's an intentional smear campaign, designed to harm GrapheneOS and damage their reputation.

We're actively working on finishing support for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It will likely be ready within a few weeks but we can't provide any specific timeline. It depends on which issues come up and how quickly we can get those resolved.

If you've wondered how Android developer verification affects Accrescent, today we have a new blog post explaining briefly what it is, how it impacts us, and how we're responding.

A false narrative is being pushed about GrapheneOS claiming we're ending operations in France due to the actions of 2 newspapers. That's completely wrong. If both newspapers and the overall French media had taken our side instead of extreme bias against us, we'd still be leaving.

We no longer have any active servers in France and are continuing the process of leaving OVH. We'll be rotating our TLS keys and Let's Encrypt account keys pinned via accounturi. DNSSEC keys may also be rotated. Our backups are encrypted and can remain on OVH for now.

France's cybersecurity agency was previously actively using GrapheneOS. They helped us by auditing our code and submitting bug reports such as this one:

They also made suggestions for security improvements to improve protection against exploits.

Here's another French journalist participating in fearmongering about GrapheneOS. That article is not measured. It provided a platform to make both unsubstantiated and provably false claims about GrapheneOS while providing no opportunity to see and respond to those claims.

We ported the Android 16 security preview patches to 16 QPR1. 2025111801 is our first 16 QPR1 with December 2025, January 2026, February 2026 and March 2026 ASB patches:

grapheneos.org/releases#202...

We'll fix a few more QPR1 regressions and then it should be able to reach Stable.

European News outlets continue their campaign aimed at smearing GrapheneOS, first the Spanish and now the French.

The latter suspiciously quiet on their low privacy and low security government funded offerings.

We were contacted by a journalist at Le Parisien newspaper with this prompt:

The team has now ported all security preview patches to Android 16 QPR1 now and plan to start building an initial security preview release soon.

We don't plan to move an A16 QPR1 release to the Beta channel until it is available, yet either may have issues preventing a move to Beta regardless.

How has the start of your week been?

Ours here at GrapheneOS has started with public experimental builds of our port to 16 QPR1, today has also seen the latest public release hit the Alpha Channel with our security preview build in process too.

Powering on and powering up.

Anyone have a pixel tablet running GrapheneOS?

The internet in general isn't particularly in love with it but I wonder how much of that is Android and his much is hardware.
