The Covid pandemic was a "socialism or barbarism" moment. As a society we could either accept the premise that our health is a collective matter, that vaccinations and sick days help everyone, or we could double down on the fiction of purely individual health. We clearly did the latter.

2024 was the hottest year in record. Would be so cool if anyone actually cared. Instead we get to wishcast tech that doesn't exist to fix the 'overshoot' we decided was unavoidable. I honestly believe extinction is in the cards.
