This odd little machine ended up living! Recapping the motherboard went way better with a beefier tip on my soldering iron.

Recapping this Biostar iDEQ 330G didn't go well with the tools I have, the motherboard loves soaking up heat. I always end up frustrated when I have to desolder something, so I ordered a desoldering iron and some larger tips for my normal iron. Crossing my fingers that this goofy PC will work.

I'm amazed at how well this video is doing. I thought it was going to be a bit too niche but apparently many people had the same reaction as I did.

I saw some of these completely passive fiber to coax / CATV adapters on aliexpress and thought they might as well be HDMI to garden hose adapters. I work with fiber and wireless, but this was something I didn't think was possible without active equipment

I finished another video! This time, I look at a wireless protocol from the early 2000s that had a lot of hype: WiMAX. I even setup a little WiMAX tower in my basement using some equipment from Motorola.

Here's a video I made about a nifty free space optics network bridge from the early 2000s, which lets you blast 100 Mbps up to a kilometer away with infrared. Not a single microcontroller in there that I could find, but it still has some interesting features.
