thought for the day: In the class war between the rich and poor, the rich want to make themselves richer at the expense of everyone else, while the 99% want to make the rich less rich in comparison to the average person, and thus more like themselves.
The rich divide, while the 99% seeks to unify.

Made something I'm actually kinda of proud of - a chocolate s'mores cake with graham cracker and fluff filling. In celebration of my daughter completing her speech therapy program after 4 years. #cooking #baking #dessert

This is how the world views the US.

Australia calling out fascism, then adding that "Trump is a disaster for humanity and he belongs behind bars, not the oval office."

"Post it on your social media." Thank you, Mr. Acosta.
Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.

Trump gets sentenced today, and we don't care because nothing is going to happen.

If you are a normal American you must follow the rules.

If you are an American with any sort of power or status, then you can basically do anything without consequence.

Curious what everyone thinks

This is the trans athletic scare that has half the nation in a tizzy. It’s manufactured fear, playing off of ignorance and bigotry.

WE ARE STILL IN THIS.
Wipe your tears.
This is the difficult business of hope and defying expectation.
We do not give up.
We run through the tape.

Y’all aren’t allowed to throw in the towel until I do. 😉

Big breath. Locked in. Let’s do this.

How long will it be until our school teachers can no longer obtain life insurance due to how hostile their occupation has become? Hazard pay?? #endtheviolence

"The future of collective bargaining in Wisconsin now depends on the future of the state supreme court, just as unwinding the gerrymander did. That’s precisely why the multipronged, incremental approach that Wikler and other Dems have undertaken is so effective."
Searching for a ray of hope? Look at Wisconsin.
Stringing together small wins can lead to big progress.

If everyone agrees that the massive income inequality in this country is bad, why can't we do anything to fix it?

People who were anti vax, has it been long enough to prove that nothing bad happened from taking the COVID vaccine back in the early days of the pandemic?

Trump alone didn't beat the justice system.

He had help.

It took Oligarchs relentlessly amplifying his lies on their media platforms.

Ethically compromised members of the Supreme Court.

70+ million willing to vote for a convicted felon.

There's a lot to fix. But it can be fixed. It must.

Democracy requires active participation in both it's function and it's defense in order to work. With voter turnout as low as it is, and the amount of unchecked disinformation being pushed on us, it's shocking but not surprising that we poor results from our elections.
