I also think a lot of folks don't realize what a small percentage of Korean content winds up where the rest of us can watch it. How much of the supposed "shift" is really just an increase in access and the western streaming services not being as limiting about the kdramas they sub?
More thoughts: I think it's fine to not enjoy watching explicit content. But when I see people make sweeping statements about Koreans being corrupted by the West as if somehow they're not interested in sex, I give the side eye because Joseon erotic art exists.
