And even within that, Therian Bsky is entirely different from most other therian communities im in, same with therian tiktok. All of these are different cultures, and calling it "the therian community" is maybe a holdover from when there was more or less one group. But it doesnt work that way now.

the way that gay men, straight transgender people, panromantic asexuals, and nonbinary queers all have something in common and share overlapping social space despite all being very different experiences. I was there for the coining of alterhuman, and a lot of it was actually to fight homogenization of everything under "otherkin" and to shorten the way everyone was saying "kin/therian/hearted/plural/etc" to acknowledge the way all of these communities and experiences interact. Not that there's nothing to critique about their theology or leadership, but that most people aren't actually engaging with it in a way that would produce genuine critique and not just "its woo woo neopagans cosplaying as Jews" which is one of the more insulting takes ive heard.
