After a week of rain in Vermont, our ducks are showing the fine art of dabbling in mud. This is a natural foraging behavior where the ducks sift through mud with their bills finding worms and insects while letting the inedible stuff fall away.

We had a case of identity theft here when an unrepentant imposter pretended to be Lily. 🐈

We are still so overwhelmed with joy and gratitude that the judge ruled Olivia and Gladys will stay with us forever. We decided to do some special baking to celebrate! 🧁

Igor came in with a group of turkey chicks back in July, but since he is nearly blind his brothers were starting to bully him. 😢 This is why he has been moved to the indoor area where our other special needs birds live! He’s getting spoiled with lots of love, treats, and enrichment like his bells!
