Instead of helping people get good jobs, Donald Trump just fired the statistician who reported bad jobs data that the wanna-be king doesn't like.

Yesterday, my FB account was suspended for a few hours. I had to upload a video of me moving my face around in order to reinstate it. This morning I was informed that my ads access has been restricted. I'm not stopping but I'm getting very suspicious.

I've just been put into Facebook jail. They claim I don't meet their standards for "account integrity". I was actually READING my feed when it happened.

I appealed immediately. I had to upload a video to prove that I was a human. WTF?

If you want to be efficient at reducing taxes for the most wealthy, this is what you do. If you want to make *government* more efficient, it sure isn't.
Elon Musk doesn’t care about government efficiency – and here’s the proof.

What's strategic about crypto? Oh, right, the First Felon's memecoin. So important. Making America Great Again. (Gah, it's setting off my strategic sarcasm reserve!)
Trump's "strategic cryptocurrency reserve" is a blatant giveaway to wealthy crypto donors, who spent millions to buy friendly regulators in the 2024 election.
Crypto Bought the 2024 Election
The 2024 election's biggest winner wasn't Trump or Vance. It was the cryptocurrency industry, which spent $134 million to buy itself a subservient Congress.

This is how you fulfill your promise to serve America when the fascists have come for you.
I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

And while we were distracted watching them disrespect Zelenskyy, they also dropped the charges against big companies ripping us off.
Trump's CFPB just dropped its lawsuits against:

-Capital One, for cheating depositors out of $2B+ in interest
-Rocket Homes, for providing kickbacks to agents and brokers
-Vanderbilt Mortgage, for trapping customers in risky loans

It's open season for corporate crooks.

Zelenskyy doesn't deserve this, but I'm sure he was expecting it. I've never been so embarrassed for my country. Is this what real leaders do?
Here’s the full Trump-Zelensky presser.

Trump, unable to find most countries on a map, is so wildly out of his depth here - and he’s sabotaging US interests amid his and Vance’s tag-team bullying of Zelensky. Utterly reckless and shameful.

Predicting the path of tornados, the landfall of hurricanes, or whether it's going to rain next Monday might seem like magic. But it's not. It's the hard work of the people at NOAA who make the impossible possible through science. This is dangerous.
Layoffs hit federal climate, weather agency NOAA
The cuts could affect NOAA's weather forecasts, climate research and other functions.

It’s no secret that Chair Powell and I disagree on a lot, but today we agreed: without the CFPB, there is no federal regulator making sure giants banks don't cheat you.

Elon wants the CFPB gone so tech billionaires can profit from apps, like X, that offer bank-like services but don’t follow financial laws that keep people’s money safe. Musk wants to use the government to put more in his pockets. This is a blatant conflict of interest. www.npr.org/2025/02/07/g...
