Don Davis' district is being gerrymandered by the NC Rep Legislature. He really has no choice but to play it safe to have any chance of winning his seat again next year. He's a solid D, but I can understand his decision not to waste his political points voting against re-opening the government...

No, they need to do better! My first work trip in 15+ years & I had to fly into ATL in the middle of all this. My orig flight was canceled within 18 hours of departure. I was lucky & got an earlier flight so I could make my meetings, but we didn't go thru this to cave when the wind is in our sails!

I don't know exactly how it's done, but I know there are constraints you can configure on the models, guard rails, for lack of a better term. But, building in intentional bias is about as sleazy as an AI developer can be.

A few places where Mekka missed the mark are typically because this administration moved more aggressively than what at the time seemed like a pessimistic view.
