Don Davis' district is being gerrymandered by the NC Rep Legislature. He really has no choice but to play it safe to have any chance of winning his seat again next year. He's a solid D, but I can understand his decision not to waste his political points voting against re-opening the government...

No, they need to do better! My first work trip in 15+ years & I had to fly into ATL in the middle of all this. My orig flight was canceled within 18 hours of departure. I was lucky & got an earlier flight so I could make my meetings, but we didn't go thru this to cave when the wind is in our sails!

But my oath as a poll judge is to maintain the integrity of our election & assist voters exercise their right to free expression w/ as much care & kindness as possible. It's our civic duty to research the ballot & any ballot initiatives so that I am able to select Reps that honor my values & morals.

I think it’s high time we take back the national narrative. For centuries Americans of all races, genders, religions, and abilities have worked to create a more perfect union, and we should shout from the rooftops that WE are America. Not these idiot white supremacist authoritarians.

It feels like we are days away from the DOJ suing @merriam-webster.com to change the definitions of words they don't like because the "president says so".

Responsible software companies include questions like "Can it be used to launch a nuclear weapon, and what guardrails are put in place to keep that from happening?" in their legal reviews for their AI product releases. Irresponsible companies? ☹️ I am right there with you, Angry.

I don't know exactly how it's done, but I know there are constraints you can configure on the models, guard rails, for lack of a better term. But, building in intentional bias is about as sleazy as an AI developer can be.

A few places where Mekka missed the mark are typically because this administration moved more aggressively than what at the time seemed like a pessimistic view.
For instance, why stop at revoking green cards or deporting green card holders?

I feel like someone should point out that "45-47" is just perpetrating the big lie and insults Joe Biden. "45/47" is more accurate and is still stupid.
