(unfortunately I haven't found a feed you can just add to your account that does that yet, and my own is so jank it'll only work on my account(s), so the band-aid is prolly the best bet)

The quick fix is to toggle on and off experimental settings in the follow feed preferences. It's a band-aid, but seems to mostly fix it short term for folks.

Otherwise, if you set up your own bespoke algorithmic follow feed (which takes like... An hour and some python) that's a permanent fix.

So it's a bug that's been an issue for like 6 months. Part of the issue is that the follow feed is chronological and the discover feed is algorithmic- so a lot of stuff just gets missed from timing- but even if you scroll back stuff is missing

There's a couple possible fixes for it:

Can't afford NOT to have one imo

Need something to hope for and reality ain't doin great

Had a long convo with a friend about this after posting yesterday and gave her details about the thing that spurred it- apparently in this case what the other person was looking for was for me to "validate their emotions"

I've never considered my own emotions COULD be invalid, how does one even??

I think that's kinda my problem, is that I do try to build a mental model- but my experience of the world is so VASTLY different to others that thing that are comforting to me emotionally are apparently very much not that in general. It's not a thought process thing so much as skewed instincts 😮‍💨

I've got a decade and change of experience in video/audio editing (adobe CC), live hosting, copywriting, basic animation (after effects), storyboarding/script writing, content management, SEO optimization, social media management, probably more I'm forgetting
