Five mature trees on 15th E that leafed out this year but likely won’t survive. There are dying trees all over the city that can’t tolerate the new hot dry climate.

My street in Seattle could easily be a garden street. Most of the cars stored here rarely move, but the many people who walk here (with or without dogs) are confined to the sidewalks.

The suddenly unprotected bike lane on Pine and 4th is a death trap and almost killed me today. That white line marks the bike lane. The planter at right “protects” the bike lane.
