With the new year, my med insurance changed to an hmo, and I've had to jump through all kinds of hoops just to go back to my same docs. The biggest evidence that our system is fucked: every nurse, doc, and ins rep has thanked me PROFUSELY for "being proactive" (ie. calling until things are sorted).
