Preparing Intro to EU law again. This year only 1 new case, but a significant one: Case C-123/22 on Hungary's deficient asylum policy where the Court went beyond what the Commission applied for and imposed a € 1 000 000 daily penalty payment. In addition, 6 260(2) TFEU cases are currently pending.

Last week we held the launch event of the newly established Belgian Association for European Union Law. I am honoured to be member of its Board and looking forward to organizing events for both academics and practitioners working on EU law. Stay tuned.

In the latest issue of the CMLRev. I published a piece on Article 122(1) TFEU, assessing how the provision has been qualified in legal literature and testing the claim that the adoption of NGEU constituted a 'constitutional moment' for the EU.

Prepared a little graph for my course on EU law on the number of findings of non-compliance by the CJEU pursuant to the current Article 260(2) TFEU, since its introduction by the Maastricht Treaty
