I've finally begun working on Adulis, the port town of the ancient Axumite Empire in Africa, and the third location in my game. I thought I'd be getting to this one in November but uhh... lots of other game dev needed to be done first 😅

May I share a random touching moment I had playing Stellaris? I came across this piece. The mind races thinking about it but it's a strange feeling seeing aliens depicted as friends, even our rescuers, rather than enemies.

In Mercator you too will be able to watch as the government you tried to control with money implodes your business with poor policy. #indiegames #indiegamedev

Remember Recettear, or Swords and Potions if you are a Flash oldhead like me? Mercator is an item shop game inspired mainly by those two titles, and you can download the demo for free right now (links in pinned post). #indiegames #games #shop #shopkeeper #itemshop #flashgaming #recettear

When you play Mercator you may notice the atrociously inefficient layout of pathways. This is an ancient tradition that India has held for over two thousand years.
