5y ago, I ran a survey to figure it out with statistical relevance.

Some findings:

- LinkedIn is the number 1 place they look.
- Spring and Autumn are the main hiring seasons.

2 truths about automation...

It does not need to be expensive (anymore), and you also don't need to use AI for most things you want to automate.

Here's an automated email flow for the Swedish DS job board, using the open-source n8n via a Docker container.

An automation flow on an n8n instance running locally via a Docker container. This checks for a trigger in Notion, validates if the required data is present, and then sends an email to everyone on a Google Sheet. The email sent from the n8n automation is in my inbox, containing all the job details.
