It’s the truth.
A fact.
Not denigrating anyone.
Not casting shade.

In fact, it’s celebrating how amazing women are.

That comment, right now, has 12k likes. It also has a misogynist sh1tshow of a comment thread.

Pls see below, a small pick of responses…

Emollients should only be used externally on the vulva. They come as a cream or ointment. They can be left on - no need to wipe away - and can also be used to ‘wash’ with.

Pls talk to your GP first, if you have any concerns.

Emollient availability/cost will depend on where you live:

Epaderm, Hydromol, Cerave, Zeroderm, Zerocream, Cetraben, Epimax, Aproderm, Dermipar, Doublebase, Emollin.

This list is not exhaustive. 👇

then try mixing half the dose with a bland emollient to ‘dilute’ the medication - slowly increase ratio of meds to emollient after a few applications until using the full dose.

Many of those women had VVA + just needed treatment to reduce risk of infection.

That’s without mentioning the impact on intimacy, relationships, mental health, physical health.

I’m helping to break the taboo - are you with me?

ANYONE going through menopause, can end up with urinary incontinence. Having children might mean you are more at risk, but those who don’t can still end up with incontinence.

We really need better education on what menopause means to our bodies. 2/2

🌸 if you’ve had vaginal atrophy for a while, it’ll take time for your vaginal tissues to repair and strengthen, so be patient while you heal

🌺 you may need your dose tweaked if vaginal/vulval atrophy symptoms start again
