7/ There is no escaping the breast cancer nor the cancer that is our government right now. I literally find it easier to be braver and more hopeful about the cancer than about our nation’s current trajectory.

How warped is that?!

6/ How many people might be emboldened by this administration's downright stupid take on vaccines and forgo any or all of them is even more terrifying as someone who may find herself immunocompromised heading into flu (+ so many other infection risks) season.

5/ My gyn is Canadian. She is a huge support to and for me - especially as a 3 time cancer survivor, herself. I frequently wonder how much longer until she escapes this BS government. I mean - I’d support her decision 100%, but losing her locally would be such a loss for all of her patients.

4/ The hit to medical research from this administration was horrifying to begin with. Research has made so many advancements - in cancer, yes, but in so many other areas, too. It originally just made me SO, SO mad - now it literally nauseates me to think about it.

3/ We will be needing to use the marketplace for health insurance beginning early next year. At one time that was a comfort - to have it be there. But with the insurance cost skyrocketing and constant fear it will be dismantled altogether, I nearly have a panic attack if I let myself think about it.

2/ How warped is that?! That having breast cancer could be welcome because of how mad our nation has gone?!

But the reality is, likely having cancer only amplifies how crazed and cruel this administration is....

Just noticed that was two years ago. I need to look into whether anything more came of it.

I'm a mom to a trans masc son and that this happened in our Virginia - our state - is terrifying to me.
