Optional or not, #2 was already going to be implemented as a selling point for characters who did not need to register, even though the program’s benefits were meant for everybody who participated (including those with Visions).

OOC, you'd definitely get rewards. The IC reasoning would be that—

2. Making Vision registration optional instead, but creating lucrative opportunities for those who do register (e.g. characters motivated by Mora, access to a wealth of info, anonymity/asylum, or even some degree of diplomatic immunity when they travel abroad for program-related work)

1. Having IC conflict/pushback intentionally be part of the narrative, leading to IC conflict and developments that may change group lore or public opinion

—which we can't promise would be established right at the beginning, especially if our audience ends up being small. Activity is a shared effort.

There's a conservative estimate of 10-15 members so far! We don't want to overstate or assume that our working premise (which is leaning toward the non-AU one) would still appeal to everyone who answered. Some also prioritized an active OOC community—

- A Discord server for optional OOC communication/plotting

One of these would be set up and announced at a later time! This would need a good bit of preparation because of the extra responsibilities and due diligence, so please be patient. It'll have to be a structured, well-moderated space.

(This would be about member comfort and not about explicit content, any of which would still need to be labeled/hidden appropriately. We want to think our interested audience wouldn't lie about this anyway, because it's not that serious.)

- An age minimum in place

This was going to be 16+ if anything, but after suggestions, a minimum of 18+ will now also be considered — at least for an initial launch. We wouldn't resort to measures like checking ID if so, but as of June 19, no interested answers had indicated being under 18 anyway.

- A canon-compliant premise instead of an alternate storyline

Most are wanting flexibility that keeps building off our working idea. There will be more tweaks to help muses with less incentive to comply, criminals, etc.
