Part of what makes higher levelled play so interesting to me, & what I've been incorporating into my playstyle, is that no matter what, a good player/team will ALWAYS know where you are; no map required sometimes.

In VOD review: never say “always.” Figure out how the player thought differently than you would have (e.g. “They didn’t look for roller before they played this fast” or “The opponent has specials out, so challenging that is risky”). Splatoon’s about situation analysis, not what’s correct/incorrect

Something that's been on my mind is I feel like this scene has undervalued and underexplored the utility of having non-player members on teams. I'm talking about things like team managers (NOT the same as captains), dedicated coaches, and more. Not everyone on a team has to be on the active roster
