Believe it or not, the practice is the point. And that whole process is muddied by how artists need to cater to the stunted tastes of companies who don’t give a shit about the process or the artist. And you need to eat! I get it! But you gotta take a step back and reconsider what your art is to you.

So I’ve thinking of making a Threads account after hesitating on this for a long while; I’ve not had much engagement on most other platforms other than IG (my main), followed by Tumblr. Plus Threads already is sort of (?) connected to IG… I’m worried about the potential data issues though.

When I do a critique with a friend, I ask them what they like about their own work and how they’d like to adjust or accomplish something new. The process is usually about figuring out how to identify, articulate, and then address their goals. What I like or dislike never figures into that process. 🤷
