Drop something BLACK & WHITE

A kitten food drama in two parts
Two cat shelves are hanging on a white wall. The left shelf is higher and contains a small tabby cat looking down at the shenanigans on the lower shelf. On the lower shelf, a black and white kitten is eating from a bowl. Above and in front of him, a tabby and white kitten with a shortened tail is attempting to reach the food bowl by force. Same cat shelves. The tabby cat is looking down at the black and white kitten, who has been displaced from his food and is now looking up at the tabby like “can you believe my own brother did this to me?” The tabby and white kitten is crouched over the dish, eating.

Shrimp or diving practice

Laundry “helpers”
Two cats are on a quilt that is scattered with clothes, as if laundry folding was dramatically interrupted. A black and white cat is on his back with his hind legs spread out and up, exposing his belly, while his front paws reach above his head towards the second cat, who is in loaf formation with his chest pressed against the top of the first cat’s head. First cat’s head is squished comedically due to this position. Second cat is looking off to the side, largely unbothered.

Found a snail friend (sniend) sheltering from the rain on our front porch so I gave it some lettuce which it immediately started to munch on. The lettuce moved as it ate! So cool

My sleepy goblin boy ❤️

This puzzle was very fun and I learned a lot of flower and bee facts from it!

There’s a steep rocky trail in my neighborhood that leads down to the paved trail in the canyon. It’s so pretty in the late afternoon!

Looking up towards a high window, a tabby and white cat with a half-tail is creeping along the windowsill, focused on something out of view outside. One front paw is raised and he is crouched down. His face is away from the camera so only one ear is visible. The window sill and frame are white and the surrounding walls are deep pink. I also am sad that I cannot have a pet trilobite. Have to make do with plushes and fossils (the complete fossil my wife bought as a kid, the half-in-rock one I found in Pennsylvania when I was 15 during a paleobiology class)
Two trilobite fossils held in the palm of a hand. Closest is just the butt end with the front still stuck in rock, further is a larger whole one. Both are Eldredgeops fka Phacops trilobites. A large trilobite plush (18 inches long, with many legs and antenna) and a smaller trilobite plush (6 inches long) on a couch next to 4 fossils of trilobites.

Went to a wreath making class at a friend’s farm today. Ricky the emu did a classic emu photobomb when I was trying to photograph Barrack O’Llama. (Michelle O’Llama was resting.)

Today I got a “you have memories from this day” email and spent a second squinting at my phone like “where *is* that?” until I realized they were Baldur’s Gate 3 screenshots. (The giant Nautiloid tentacle should have clued me in but I had just woken up and could only think “…mushrooms?”)

Got a recording of the neighborhood raven doing its cool “Kodama from Princess Mononoke” noise this morning. I clicked back and then it was quiet for a few seconds, then flew to another tree. (You can’t see the raven in this video, only hear it)

Might do some art therapy today. This one is from 2017 and I think when I posted it to Instagram or somewhere, a few friends were like “hey are you ok???” and I was like “I mean… no? but it’s nothing new, it’s the human condition right?” And then learned not everyone feels like this! Neat.
