The most annoying is when you watch a video that you would only need once (like how to fix something in the house or how to change a phone setting or whatever). Then you get dozens more videos on that topic suggested for weeks afterwards which you have zero interest in because you already fixed it.

Some people might be surprised that the iShares UK dividend etf (all UK shares) has outperformed the US S&P 500 over the past 5 years, 1 year and year to date. (In GBP and performance is very different over 10 years of course).

Not necessarily, some of those markets are very small, so dominated by a few companies, others like UK FTSE 100 - recent performance dominated by gains from just 12 companies (5 big banks: Lloyds, NatWest, Barclays, Standard Chartered & HSBC + a few other stocks that made huge gains eg Rolls Royce).

Not a recommendation - but there are for example MSCI world ex US ETFs, there are also equal weighted S&P 500 ETFs which are usually rebalanced quarterly, there are also regional ETFs (Emerging markets, EM ex China, Europe etc) as well as individual country index ETFs (UK etc).

"If you exclude AI boom stocks from the S&P 500, since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, the annualised rise in that index is just 5.4%, compared to 19.4% with the AI bubble stocks included."
"Since ChatGPT launched in November 2022, AI-related stocks have registered 75% of S&P 500 returns."

There is a whole genre of YouTube channels who only post videos of people who are not white committing crimes. Obviously intended to stir up racists (as evidenced by the comments) & create a very misleading impression. They rarely/ never post videos of white people committing similar/any crimes.

There is no good evidence that the death penalty is a deterrent.
Also the message it sends is that the solution to dealing with a problem / problematic person is to kill them - which in a way, is the same logic as many of the people who commit murder have.

I don't use Facebook, but I get dozens of scam ads in my Google news feed every day. (Examples from today in screenshots.)
Ad accounts where I have reported dozens of ads to Google are still running ads over a year after first reporting scam ads.

I read that something like 80% of homicides in the US involve the use of a firearm, yet per capita the US still has a higher rate of homicides involving the use of a bladed weapon than the UK does.
