Some people might be surprised that the iShares UK dividend etf (all UK shares) has outperformed the US S&P 500 over the past 5 years, 1 year and year to date. (In GBP and performance is very different over 10 years of course).

"If you exclude AI boom stocks from the S&P 500, since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, the annualised rise in that index is just 5.4%, compared to 19.4% with the AI bubble stocks included."

"Since ChatGPT launched in November 2022, AI-related stocks have registered 75% of S&P 500 returns."

Google have added the label 'advertiser identity verified by Google' to hundreds of accounts where the identity they have 'verified' is actually an innocent UK Ltd company, overseas company or individual who have had their name hijacked/ stolen by fraudsters to run scam ads.

I don't use Facebook, but I get dozens of scam ads in my Google news feed every day. (Examples from today in screenshots.)

Ad accounts where I have reported dozens of ads to Google are still running ads over a year after first reporting scam ads.

Good point. Had a look and it seems that these are recorded separately.

Not a word on the lack of 'advertising standards' that is doing actual harm (not only because of the fraud, but also a decline in public trust: of ads, of journalism, of politicians etc).

Fake versions of UK news websites, fake articles, AI generated images, fake endorsements by govt/ politicians

Google ads are marking dozens of ad accounts as verified ("advertiser identity verified by Google") when the identities actually belong to innocent individuals and companies (including UK LTD companies) who have had their identity hijacked/ stolen by fraudsters to run scam investment ads.

Even Google news is putting fake news into the Google news feed. I got this yesterday - a .co.za (South Africa) domain name, website totally plastered with ads on top of ads & content (Google ads, ironically). Obviously completely false claim about pension payments rising massively from tomorrow.

Absolutely nothing on Sky news either. But they have live rolling coverage of Hadush Kebatu being arrested (yes, him being found and arrested is obviously newsworthy and in the public interest, but does it really require constant live updates?).
