I recently discovered I've been getting my own origin story wrong all my life. I always knew my older sister was named after the heroine of Dad's favorite book/movie, but I assumed Mom chose my name to rhyme with it because she loved being a twin and having a name that sounded like her sister's.

Being American and Gen X means that sometimes out of nowhere, you just get a craving for government cheese that nothing else can really satisfy.

Well, I might not live the year out, but at least some billionaire will be able to build his fourth summer home out of solid platinum instead of boring old gold.
