Technically, spell check is AI. What they need to be teaching students is how to edit and fact check AI. I doubt it's going away. They need to learn how to use it responsibly. I would rather read an AI generated paragraph than text lingo. Students still have to input writing in their AI prompt.

One good thing about the NY Times story is that they called Trump’s Big Lie about the 2020 election a “lie.” I’m pretty sure NYT editors are programmed to get an electric shock whenever they try to put “Trump” and “lie” in the same sentence. Great job fighting through that! 3/3

It isn't the reddest state. Just the opposite. Voter suppression and gerrymandering have played a huge role in why Texas "votes" the way it does. A third of eligible voters don't/can't vote, primarily due to lack of access or the belief that their vote doesn't matter.
