fraktur characters are sometimes used in mathematical writing so Unicode made the somewhat unwise decision to include them as an entirely separate block of characters. If you use them as fonts, people will get mad because screenreaders will pronounce them as MATHEMATICAL FRAKTUR G MATHEMATICAL FRAK-
