Just someone obsessed with Crocodilians, especially Black Caiman.
The skull is also a slightly lighter color than the main body, usually a grey-dark silver coloration and they have black facial spots that typically fade in only the larger animals. They posses a “scarf” between the head & neck that is either similar to the head in color or a creamy-sand like color.

Super late & I love it but it was almost perfect in my eyes besides one thing, the coloration & patterns! You gave it the patterning of the much different Spectacled Caiman, Melanosuchus are predominantly black in color of course, sometimes dark navy blue. No green but do have a white underbelly!

Noooooo, the art is great but you drew the widespread “fake image” of Black Caiman! Thats just a deformed, captive dark colored spectacled Caiman. This is how the true Black Caiman, the largest of Alligatoridae & the largest crocodilian of the neotropical realm looks like:

Pay attention to the spinal ridge by the way, Melanosuchus especially large adults have elevated area running down their spine, it’s mainly used for display and makes them look almost like a spinosaurus from the distance. The largest individuals can have extremely massive ones.

Yup, all of them are the mighty Melanosuchus niger itself, the largest super predator of the Americas and the true third largest crocodilian.
