Super late & I love it but it was almost perfect in my eyes besides one thing, the coloration & patterns! You gave it the patterning of the much different Spectacled Caiman, Melanosuchus are predominantly black in color of course, sometimes dark navy blue. No green but do have a white underbelly!

Noooooo, the art is great but you drew the widespread “fake image” of Black Caiman! Thats just a deformed, captive dark colored spectacled Caiman. This is how the true Black Caiman, the largest of Alligatoridae & the largest crocodilian of the neotropical realm looks like:

You and ask you shall receive.. More is on the way. Take note to the great depth of their skull, the most impressive skulls of the extant crocs.

One of the mightiest crocodilians for its size, the Cuvier’s Dwarf Caiman (Paleosuchus palpebrosus). Highly territorial and quite terrestrial, they and the closely related P. Trigonatus are some of the oldest of the many extant crocodilian species. #Caiman

A gentle display of dominance between two female Nile #Crocodile ‘s (Crocodylus niloticus), these animals are owned by my relatives in Nairobi, Kenya, be sure to check them out if you visit!

The American #Crocodile (Crocodylus acutus), one of the largest crocs on the planet and the second largest predator in the new world (Beaten by Black Caiman). The average mature males length is about 4.39m. This giant I saw is Osama in CR who is the second largest verified of his species at ~4.85m.

Did not know this was an alternative to the well known “X”, seems a lot better.

Nile Crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus), about 4.5 meters long, one of thousands I’ve observed now.
