Grew up in a small town in Northern California bounced around a bit and now produce news at CBS in San Francisco.
Just found out about this. It’s for people feeling helpless who want to support public media stations in danger of closing.

This is a way to find and support a smaller market station in need.
So, how does Adopt A Station work?

Here's some FAQs, answered. #publicmedia

Given tonight’s tsunami advisory for the California coast, a reminder that tsunamis are not the same as large, wind-driven waves. They are dangerous walls of water that flow straight and run quickly over land.

My husband has had a lot of extensive dental work lately so this is an appreciation post for Jamba Juice and Black Bear Diner. I can’t tell you how many times we have ordered the two pancakes for $9.99… they are always good and Black Bear is open later than most other places near us.

What a day to be in the newsroom. Tariffs paused about an hour before the noon show.

Then the Giants win with a walk-off.

After the second one there was quite a bit of yelling.

With recent events and the Day of Remembrance for the internment of Japanese Americans I posted a recent story from @kpixtv.bsky.social. There seems to be some interest so I am going to try and post all of @ryankpix.bsky.social stories in a thread. youtu.be/Gkl7UQQzMRY?...

So just to be clear the day after they raise fares BART has an equipment problem and cancels a bunch of trains heading into the city? Leaving people like me scrambling to get to work. Not a good look.

I am totally guilty of using apps to order things but the local pizza chain on our street closed. I called the next closest one. They not only were friendly and helpful but will be here quicker than delivery apps. A reminder to shop local and give places a chance. (I hope this isn’t a jinx)

My husband and I are setting up our new AppleTV and logging into everything again it is very obvious who picked what password. Let’s just say mine were more mood based over security.

According to Goodreads I only read 20 books this year. Doesn’t seem right since 12 were for book club. I am just going to tell myself I forgot to add some. Also, you can totally tell the book club picks because the rest are pretty cozy.
