I also have not made it through Book of Boba Fett! But maybe I should. I will say I enjoyed Kenobi, which I know makes some people twitch, but by golly the fight between Vader and Obi-Wan! Loved it. LOVED it.

I am a purist, read the Han Solo legends books! Never made it past the scene where the officer names him 'Solo', RIP my childhood! But if you think it is worth continuing, I might sit with the distress and try to finish it out -

We will use approaches informed by dynamical systems theory to develop models to anticipate suicide attempts days in advance. Looking forward to generating science that can hopefully help us move the needle to reduce suicides.

BUT I remember my school wanting the members and it being a "big" deal of sorts. So, maybe you're getting spammed, IDK

But - I can't speak to if what you are receiving is actually from them. I never got one of those emails when I was nominated as it was handled through my university at the time - I was one of I think 3 people who were nominated from my school, IIRC

I received a grant from Sigma Xi for my dissertation in grad school. I am a member - was nominated by my past university because of receiving that award. It is a legit organization - IIRC if you are a member your students, people at your school may have prioritized funding for those grants -

Some faculty I know throw in multiple apps a cycle and say to expect a hit rate of 1/10. Others have told me that they have improved their hit rate by focusing on deep refining 1-2 applications (some say that most eventually get funded). I'm experimenting with what works for me but am curious.
