Abstract painter exploring the emotional experience of place. Travel, architecture, and coastal landscapes. Trade program for designers. Seattle.
Shine Beyond Your Edges is the second in this textured, layered pair of paintings shaped by a quiet morning in Corfu.

“The Shape of Time” began in a moment of stillness at the Old Fortress in Corfu. The morning light moved across ancient tiles and captivated me. When I returned to the studio, the painting became less about place and more about the slow unfolding of change.

There was a morning in Corfu when I wandered the Old Fortress almost alone. As I stepped across ancient tiles worn by time, I thought about all they’ve held. How their cracks and sun-faded colors carry countless stories.

Back in the studio after ten days of travel in Greece — and last night’s dream 😬🔥 reminded me how important it is to stay grounded in this next season of creative growth.

To tend the fire that began while I was away.
To release what’s no longer useful.
To expand what feeds my soul.

I’ve been experimenting with softer ways to use texture in my work. The painting I’m sharing today is the result of beach walks and studio time. Living and working.

I have been completely geeking out in my studio in the best way — experimenting with creating the textures I most want to express and grounding myself in nature-inspired color palettes.

I’m learning how to trust myself again, even when the next step doesn’t look perfect on paper. I wrote more about this shift in my latest newsletter.

Considered these two paintings as a pair today when working with an art consultant in the Bay Area. I’d never pictured them in one place before, but now I really appreciate how they flow together. The dimensions weren’t quite right for her client, but maybe you’re feeling this magic too.

I can’t stop thinking about yesterday’s entry from The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo.

“The dearest things in life cannot be owned, but only shared… we share this mystery called life the way sea creatures share the ocean.”

The ocean doesn’t care for borders or nations. Any lines drawn are manmade.

A quiet escape, perfectly paired.

Sightseeing No. 2 and Window Seat are two small, lightly textured paintings that hold space for reflection, curiosity, and a sense of openness.

Together, they offer an invitation: to pause, to drift, to weave the spirit of travel into the corners of everyday life.

Weekdays in the city. Weekends by the sea. This rhythm lives in me and in my art.

From the shared terrace of my Seattle studio, I’m surrounded by structure and skyline.

Just a glimpse…

These cropped sections are from three new large-scale paintings heading to Look Walls & Interiors, where they’ll be scanned and transformed into custom to-the-trade wallcoverings for hospitality spaces.

As spring unfolds, I’ve been reflecting on the shifts happening behind the scenes in my studio. Today I thought I’d share a glimpse into that and how I’m learning (again) to trust the pace and rhythm of my own process.

Exciting news! I’m happy to share that Sorelle Gallery in Westport, Connecticut is now officially representing my work. I participated in their Art Exclusive last fall, and in January we made it official. My studio is filled with blank canvases that I will fill with coastal color palettes!
