In Gaithersburg, this particular storm passed overhead calmly without incident, between 6:30 PM and 6:40 PM, it moved on pretty quickly.

In Gaithersburg, weak wind, brief pouring rain, bits of thunder, did not see lightning, all calm now, it passed in less than 20 minutes.

Weather Channel app forecast says a line of strong thunderstorms, around 12 midnight, stretching from northern Maryland to northern Virginia, moving from northwest in a southeasterly direction, in so watch out for that.
