Reflecting on yesterday's new experience, while also thinking about other experiences with death in recent years.

The socially accepted form of grief is sadness, but when I just think about what I observed, I don't want to talk about it, for the comfort of others. It's just how it is. What my mind's eye eventually forgets, the mind's ear won't. I take it in in the moment, so I can hold onto the memory. I'll be alright, I know how to feel my feelings. Sometimes I just think about what I recall in my memory and don't say aloud. Witnessing death is just a whole body experience.
