Which ... Value... (because that's what they are values)

do you believe the "woke" should no longer consider?

It depends on the college and the school's infrastructure. Some colleges use common app which means a very generic rec. But, like, if I know a student REALLY wants a certain school, I try to be specific. It's definitely a lot.

My sister and I (both in sec Ed) were talking about this earlier this month. We had to ask our guidance counselor to request information or email the school from our computer lab. My students consistently apply to 8+ schools now. Tailoring recs is nearly impossible

Just because someone is rich it doesn't mean they are smart. Generations upon generations of the smartest people the world has ever seen died as farmers in obscurity. We only get to know about the people with the money and power who were written about. They're powerful, not smart.

I write pages and pages by hand for my big project and I feel the same way when it's time to type everything. Telling myself I am editing as I type is not nearly as satisfying

By the way, the article says that they're vacating some of these sentences 30 years after they were implemented. 30 years is enough to cause entire families numerous forms of multi-generational ruin.

Currently reading A People's History of Soccer by Mickael Correia and there's a whole series of chapters about how clubs fought fascism and organized resistance. But I am a early channel 6 subscriber, so I'm already on board for the games.
