The Framers were so visionary and concerned about the poisons of arbitrary seizure and imprisonment that they wrote it into our Constitution as anathema.

Suspending our Constitution, even if it serves politicians and judges, does not serve the interests of Conservative or Liberal Americans.
Northern Ireland man from Lisburn kidnapped by Trump’s Ice raids because he “looked like a Mexican”. He had the correct visa, all his documents. He’s never been in trouble with police.

Held in terrible conditions. A fellow captive couldn’t get his medication and dropped dead of a heart attack
Horrors of Trump detention centre: Lisburn man tells his story after arrest for 'looking like a Mexican'

Lee Stinton was lifted by US immigration police on an American street — in an incident he compared to a kidnapping.

Here, he tells us his story.

Yesterday was a good day for her. I’m glad she had one more that was pretty good. So I’m going to feed her all the good food today in between ugly crying.
We love you so much, Eliza.

This. The random holding and emojis are annoying.
Also, don’t then use this and scraped data to ask for a TA or RA position. They all get deleted now.
Students, there's no need to use ChatGPT to draft emails to your professors.

Just be polite and direct. No need to stress over the style.

If you know of a student who is looking for a education post doc (now, odd timing I know), I may have an opportunity for them. They would be working Texas admin data so experience with that would be a big plus.

But are there beans?
Having a Slinger, which is hash browns under two hamburgers under four (?) eggs under roughly two gallons of chili. Fifteen bucks. I am the Anthony Bourdain of slop and you cannot stop me.

At some point you realize it really is just you and there isn’t much point in trying to make things better. It does not, in fact, get better.

My major was originally Russian Studies. It stayed a double major until I discovered I had to choose 1 to graduate on time. Sometimes people asked me why Russian Studies. The reasons included that I wanted to make sure scenes like this never ever happened
Wonder what Foxnews would be talking about all day this week if Obama had done this?
Well this is just a humiliation fetish atp

Are any of my papers on your syllabus? Undergrad, PhD, econ history, or (preparing myself for crickets) a non-econ history class are all great. DMs are open and huge thanks in advance

For no reason at all, I am reminded of an event when my son was 3 or 4 and we were watching a Ducks 🏈 game and a commercial came on. Kid “that looks like a very violent movie”. Me: “that’s a commercial for Northern Illinois University“

Back when I was a TA, I used to run a bookmaking operation focused on how many students would get busted for cheating during exams. I later spun the operation off into its own company, which was acquired. They changed the business to consumer products but kept the name, Procter & Gamble.

This is awful. Reliable economic data is a key strength of the US economy.

When Argentina and Greece faked economic data it contributed to major crises.

I don't think Trump will be able to fake the data given the procedures. But there is now a risk plus an awful appearance.
