Currently querying School for the Insane, a moody literary fiction. Two story lines, a century apart, intertwine on and around the grounds of a charitable institution for mad girls. Is this place haunted? At least by memories...
Despite crazy siren after siren speeding down my street, F18 fly-overs (why?) and my nerves shattered by the big ghoulish sadistic bill, I know surrender to darkness is not an option. There is only one direction, forward, and only one goal, that all the world might live in peace, in plenty, in love.

OMG Everybody is driving me crazy. PLEASE:
1. Live by your values, beyond whatever your tribe affiliation. Are you clear what they are? Write them on the mirror.
2. Make sure you have the real 911 - not JUST what your algorithm serves up. Did s/he really say that? Or does it just confirm a bias?

I have no hate. I see God in everyone. No matter how twisted. I do have fear. I fear Trump's aggressive cruelty and fascist moves. I also fear Mamdani's aggressive anti- Zionism. I feel unsafe everywhere.

My adult 20 something son still lives at home. It is mostly pleasant. We often talk about our dog and wonder exactly what he's thinking. Also news of the birds in our yard comes up daily. Today the crows were chasing off a bald eagle. The chickadees were terrified. More at 11.

Ok honestly. Aren't people full up with substacks and newsletters and blogs? Are people really clamoring for more? They tell us we need to do it, but does it really help sell books? Truly curious.
