This afternoon I attended an event to commemorate 37 years since Halabja and the genocide of Kurds.
Hearing the testimony of survivors aged only 11 at the time was incredibly moving and important. The challenge of “never again” is still there. Remembering is a vital first step.

Wonderful nine lessons and carols in Ripon Cathedral yesterday evening - the choir sang a whole range of old carols. The music and singing was beautiful.

Every year for two days the church in Baldersby St James they hold a sale of secondhand books. It’s a great opportunity to browse a whole range of subjects. We came away with six this year.
