I dreamt of a metallic blue stag beetle last night. I had lost them, and then I found them again when they fell from some cloth. They were miffed at me for losing them.

So now I’m painting a blue stag beetle.

Organizing can look like a lot of things. Care, solidarity, mutual aid, knowing rights, building community relationships, coordinating and sharing resources, leveraging privilege to protect others, engaging art….

Seeing reports that Tahlequah (J35), is again carrying a deceased calf. I painted this in 2018 after she carried the body of her little one for 17 days.

Grief is a personal and difficult journey that many species navigate.

I’m working on a series of systems & complexity thinking drawings for a project.

This is a messy, disjointed iteration as I explore pathways for understanding & visualization.

The idea with this series is to have interactive #climateart visuals—e.g. weave together your own wheel—to explore care-based #climateaction across different levels and issues given unique contexts/needs.

Nothing groundbreaking, just interactive explorations.

Last of my #climate care action wheel series on system, collective, individual & inward action.

Deep & collective care, holding space/time for inner health, strength, dignity is an essential part of navigating degrading systems of colonial, capitalist, neoliberal patriarchy, white supremacy etc.
