The soundtrack is a classic.

I was a VP two years ago and I ended up taking on more obligations as the year went on. Way too much drama for me. I would rather just volunteer when I’m able and not have set expectations and responsibilities.

And! Cam pitched 2 2/3 innings and only let up 1 run. Watching your kid pitch is so stressful.

100% agree. Same with my dad and alcohol vs marijuana. I didn’t even notice if he was smoking marijuana.

Yeah I would definitely take the weed over alcohol for my dad. That’s great that your dad has done well with treatment. That’s hard as shit.

I think it depends on what their drug of choice was. My dad was arrested, almost died, and lost jobs due to alcohol. With a little weed, he’s not going to die and he’s retired at this point. Sober to me has always meant alcohol and clean means drugs. I guess that’s due to my family experience.

My dad has been sober (alcohol) for 20+ years but has recently (my stepmom told me, not him) been vaping pot and/or doing edibles because he’s had a lot of stress with aging/ailing siblings he’s taking care of. IMO it’s better than alcohol for him.

3.5 years is awesome. I’m proud of you.

When I told Cam I was going to leave the FH and get a new job, he legit cried. He said “so you won’t be on call?!? And you don’t have to work on the weekends?!?” Then he thought later and said, “can you go back to Chuck E. Cheese?” (I worked there when I was 16.) He’s the best.

And I hadn’t planned on getting a new job right away. The speech therapist Finley saw, her practice posted a thing on Facebook needing a new manager. It’s the right hours, 10 minutes from the house, LOW STRESS. All the things I wanted in something new. I’m excited.

I hate to throw around the whole “toxic workplace” label but it was legitimately that. And I know I fluffed it up on Facebook but that’s because I don’t want to burn bridges with upper, UPPER management. I spent 16 years there and new people brought in and nope, not doing that.

I’ve checked in periodically and I am so happy to see you. You’re amazing. I think about you often.

Short, leggings (it’s going to be cold) undershirt and baseball shirt and hoodie. Cleats by the door, etc. I’m exhausted.

I got his entire baseball bag together, including snacks and drinks, laid out his clothes. Then got his basketball uniform and accoutrement together in a separate bag so no one forgets anything.
