Last thought for now: we live in a time when people are trying to manufacture consent for abuse of racial minorities, sexual minorities, women, disabled people, and vulnerable people generally, by appealing to multiple imaginary pasts and the assumption that they represent natural norms.

The political value of LLMs is in how they are used to gaslight us. A CEO pays you less because they insist they can just as well replace you with AI. A politician roles out AI urgent care to “make healthcare accessible”. Meanwhile the wealthy will always have access to the real thing.

Same. When I do need more clothes I like using ThreadUp to find fun items secondhand. I got a pair of jeans for $6 there!
