A Silent Fire, S. Ravella, Norton 2022. It weaves a tail of medicine's reluctance to acknowledge those whose research implicated inflammation in a plethora of diseases. A compelling read.

Glad to live in the great state of OR with Wyden and Merkley as senators.

I definitely appreciated the work that Dr Ravella did to bring the topic of inflammation and it's broad reach in disease to a layperson's attention. Having some interest (and background) in the study of human physiology helps to carry you through the details presented. A well done and timely work.

What's the depreciation on these server farms being built now? Seems like we're going to have to buy new machines in the not too distant future.

It's good to have some pointers on how to spot AI generated video content. I guess that I'm not surprised that it is this obvious when you know where to look.

It's important to remember that statewide representations of polls and voting outcomes like this one don't take into account the actual numbers of ppl involved. When possible (obviously not in this case) I much prefer county by county. Boise, ID probably isn't as green here as rural areas.

The letter details a months-long pattern of excessive force by DHS personnel. It also serves as formal notice that we - with 3 DAs - are actively monitoring federal conduct and will investigate any case where a federal officer appears to be acting outside the reasonable scope of their duties.
