I did back on the 1099-K reporting threshholds going down to $600. There have been some things that have happened since then that give me pause as to whether or not I have that contact.

Not directly, no.

I have had luck with reaching out to my Senators' offices in the past through a connection I used to have. That fell apart for a lot of reasons though.

I think my all time favorite was early on - Rubbermaid tubs of receipts and invoices monthly that regularly included a mix of child art (hooray!) and dog hair and once included a propane tank regulator.
