I attend these goofy, "conferences," where everything is pre-recorded because they're about the only way to get certain information from Intuit.

But I am so tired of having to guess which sessions might actually have helpful information and balancing that with GSD and getting no CE from it.

When did LinkedIn become a dating service?

I am so incredibly disturbed by this.

I didn't.

I have a very sad ground turkey rice bowl. I do at least have avocado and horseradish with it.

The horseradish is sweet though. It does not make me feel alive.

It's coffee shop day and I signed up for a webinar.

But Ignition you're using an app that's forcing me to use portrait mode and this ridiculous set up.

Why not use a fully functional webinar app so your attendees can have a better experience? #TaxBS

Hey #TaxBS Proconnect Tax users: who else is irritated by the impossible to read details of the input fields in a search?

Not me marking something as unhelpful because the grammar is terrible and that offends me.

Update for 2/14:

I did hear from ED Meg Killian. She assured me they're, "monitoring this closely," and offered a meeting next week.

I asked for a link to schedule said meeting (long after she went home, I'm sure) and pushed how slow organizations are moving. Use the alt text to copy/paste TaxSky

And TaxBS, today my daily morning pages brought me to the words I needed to find to send something to the NAEA. I shared with them my opinion of the proposed regulations on representation.

And I challenged their silence (Copy/paste from the alt text - DEI benefits us all). 5/

Activism and pushing for change is a slow win.

Keep pushing.

Don't give them any amount of validity. Keep pushing back.

Yikes! The portion of the paid medical leave that is attributable to employer contributions will be taxable for Social Security and Medicare.

There's transition relief for withholding in 2025.

I smell an impending disaster and retro active legislation next week. TaxBS here we go!

As much as I love a digital solutions and getting rid of paper, paper planners have the advantage of doing fun artsy things like this.

Also, the physical planner helps me wrangle and regulate the sticky notes.

This is Page 2. It also has letterhead, but I don't want to scratch it out.

Page 2 is focusing on planning and advisory services. Again, {{Content}} will be replaced by a Google Apps Script with information custom to the client.

These prices aren't final. Nothing is reliable on this right now.

Fine.

This is page 1. Everyone will get a page 1 that's relevant to them. {{Content}} gets replaced by a Google Apps Script with information custom to the client.

These prices aren't final. Nothing is reliable on this right now.

Hey PDX people! New Seasons Labor Union is asking for solidarity through a boycott.

Yes, this is where we buy over 50% of our groceries. No, we won't be shopping there until the workers have the contract they deserve.
