disability tax is real. whether it’s mental or physical, if you need accommodation it’ll cost you, when things aren’t accessible it’ll also cost you. if by some miracle you’re able to provide for yourself you’ll still struggle to save because what most consider luxury is just a basic accommodation 🙃

Ableism looks like building a world that doesn’t consider people with disabilities, then blaming them for not fitting in. It's the constant belittling, the exclusion, the 'inspiration' label slapped on them for existing, and the refusal to make basic accommodations because it’s 'too much effort.

Definitely seconding that people who don’t have or don’t understand chronic pain or disabilities need to shut up before they opine on what we can and cannot do, or what’s believable to them. If you saw me walking up a hill you’d think I was fine for anything. Now watch me try to walk down one.
