I couldn’t trust not passing it on to children –if I ever decide to have them– but you don’t have to worry about me.” [Panel 4] “Would you like a refreshment?” She casually offers, smiling as she draws out of the basket a pair of cups. Akko mumbles in agreement “I guess”, perplexed by the rapidity at which Diana changed the mood. [Panel 3] With a big smile, Akito answers to Diana’s blatant attempt at shielding Akko from more nagging “Thank you for taking care of her, Diana-san. We are very grateful.” “More that you are willing to lie in her name, we know the trouble she gets herself into.” Adds her mom, putting an end to the charade. [Panel 4] Diana is embarrassed to have been caught, but that’s what you get for meddling in a daughter-mother discussion. “P-please be sure to enjoy your vacation and don’t worry about your daughter’s well-being.” She assures, even if she can’t meet their eye right now.
