The Vampire Ball is next weekend in Heidelberg, Germany. Part of me wants to pack and book flights and a suite at the Hotel St. Georg zum Ritter. Dancing with wild abandon while flirting with sexy bats and ghouls is really appealing to the 35-year old in my head, to the septuagenarian not so much.

Back in the 70s, I spent more than a year, on and off, embroidering this piece for a jacket. Fifty years later, it's on a different jacket, but still beautiful. Based on an album cover for a group called Mountain, the album is called Climbing.
